Clove Water Recipe: A Small Sip with Big Power
Ingredients:
- 4–5 whole cloves
- 1 cup (250 ml) of water
- Optional: a small piece of cinnamon stick or a few drops of honey for taste
🔥 Instructions:
- Boil the Water:
Bring the water to a gentle boil in a small pot or kettle. - Add the Cloves:
Add the whole cloves to the boiling water. You can also add cinnamon if using. - Simmer:
Let the mixture simmer for 5–10 minutes. The water will take on a golden to light brown color. - Strain & Cool:
Strain the clove water into a cup. Let it cool slightly before drinking — it should be warm, not hot. - Optional Sweetening:
Add a few drops of honey if desired. Avoid sugar, as it can counteract some of the benefits.
🧠 Why It’s Powerful (But Underestimated):
- Digestive Aid: Helps with bloating, gas, and nausea.
- Antimicrobial Properties:Cloves contain eugenol, a natural compound that fights bacteria and viruses.
- Anti-inflammatory: Reduces internal inflammation and joint pain.
- Oral Health: Great as a natural mouth rinse (kills bacteria and freshens breath).
- Blood Sugar Regulation: May help improve insulin function when taken regularly.
🕒 How to Use:
- Drink a small sip in the morning on an empty stomach — about 2–3 tablespoons is enough.
- Can also be taken after meals to help digestion.
