Ingredients
- 2–3 slices bologna
- 2 slices sandwich bread
- 2 slices cheddar or American cheese
- 1–2 tbsp butter or mayonnaise
- Optional: mustard or ketchup
👩🍳 Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Lightly score the edges of the bologna to keep it from curling, then fry until browned and slightly crisp on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- Spread butter or mayonnaise on the outside of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread in the skillet, buttered side down.
- Add one slice of cheese, then the hot bologna, followed by another slice of cheese.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, flipping once for even browning.
🍽️ Serving
Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately while hot and melty. 😋
