Fried Bologna Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2–3 slices bologna
  • 2 slices sandwich bread
  • 2 slices cheddar or American cheese
  • 1–2 tbsp butter or mayonnaise
  • Optional: mustard or ketchup

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Lightly score the edges of the bologna to keep it from curling, then fry until browned and slightly crisp on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. Spread butter or mayonnaise on the outside of each slice of bread.
  4. Place one slice of bread in the skillet, buttered side down.
  5. Add one slice of cheese, then the hot bologna, followed by another slice of cheese.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  7. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, flipping once for even browning.

🍽️ Serving

Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately while hot and melty. 😋
