Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 5 potatoes, peeled and cut
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat and Prepare the Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish well.
- Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the meat is browned and the onions are tender. Drain any excess fat.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, combine the heavy cream, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, dried rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Assemble the Casserole: Place half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Top with 1/3 of the soup mixture and 1/2 of the meat mixture.
- Repeat with another layer of potatoes, 1/3 of the soup mixture, and the remaining meat mixture.
- Pour the remaining soup mixture over the top and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
