Low Carb Honey Garlic Chicken 🍯🧄
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs chicken tenders (or chicken breast strips)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1/4 cup sugar-free honey (or keto honey substitute)
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sugar-free honey, minced garlic, and black pepper.
- Add the chicken to the bowl and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 15–30 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
- Pour the remaining sauce into the pan and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- (Optional) Mix cornstarch with a little water and add it to the pan to thicken the sauce.
- Spoon the glossy sauce over the chicken and cook for 1–2 more minutes.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.
